When you travel with Equity, our team aims to make it as easy as possible to plan and embark on your school trip. Whether you have already booked or are just doing some initial research, let us guide you through our process with the information and documents provided below.
How to book
Booking your school trip is simple and straightforward with Equity. Here, we’ve outlined our steps to guide you through the process.
Get a quote
To find out how competitive our prices are, simply contact one of our expert account managers with your request, and we’ll send you a bespoke quotation, advising you on the best value-for-money.
Make a provisional booking
If you like what you see, we’ll take action to provisionally book any flights, Eurostar, rail, coaches and accommodation for up to four weeks, wherever possible. At this stage, you won’t yet be financially committed to the trip.
Confirming your booking
To confirm your booking, a deposit will be required. The value of the deposit will vary depending on your trip destination and transport method. Please see below for our payment schedule. (NB: When booking is departing within six months of departure we will combine ALL deposits.)
If we are booking flights with no-frills airlines, we also require a full list of passport names and dates of birth for all passengers at this stage. On receipt of the deposit and booking form, we’ll then confirm your travel arrangements and start working with you on planning the more intricate details of your trip. You will be assigned one of our dedicated Group Co-ordinators, who will work with you directly to coordinate your trip.
Second deposits
Second deposits are payable no later than eight weeks after your first deposit. The value of this deposit again will vary depending on your trip destination and transport method. Please see below for our payment schedule:
Third deposits
Third deposits are payable no later than 14 weeks after your first deposit. The value of this deposit again will vary depending on your trip destination and transport method. Please see below our payment schedule:
Final payment
The final outstanding balance of your booking is due in full 12 weeks prior to departure.

Tour inclusions
Below you’ll find what's included in a typical Equity educational tour:
- Return flights / Eurostar / coach / ferry transfers
- Accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis (room only in the U.S). Students will be accommodated in multi-bedded rooms or dorms in some hostels (no bed share), while adults will be accommodated in single rooms (unless otherwise stated or requested)
- En suite facilities for all rooms (excluding some hostels)
- 24-hour duty office
- Fully comprehensive travel insurance
- A standard free-place ratio of 1:10 on air tours and 1:8 on coach tours. These can be adjusted to suit your requirements.
In addition our ski trips include:
- Lift pass
- 5 or 6 days ski tuition (minimum 4 hours per day).
- Skis, boots, poles and helmet
- Dedicated resort representative service
We love creating custom trips tailor-made to your group, however inclusions on these packages may differ from the inclusions outlined above.
